How is RotaCare structured?

RotaCare International, Inc. is the parent corporation for regional RotaCare corporations that oversee the individual clinics. International's duties are to encourage growth of new clinics. An example of a regional corporation is RotaCare South Bay, Inc. It oversees the operation of clinics in the south San Francisco Bay Area. Regional boards are made up of past Rotary District Governors, Club Presidents, Rotarians with selected expertise, community activists, clinic administrators and medical professionals.

Regional corporations are directly responsible to state licensing agencies for the provision of quality medical care. They provide legal governance for clinics within their geographical area.

Each clinic has an Administrative Council which oversees its day-to-day operation. A member of the council is assigned to be a voting member of the regional board of directors. The regional board makes legal policy and oversees medical quality assurance for the clinics. The Administrative Councils provide day-to-day medical oversight and are responsible for raising the funds to provide the clinic with medicine, medical supplies and insurances.

Currently, RotaCare is operating eight clinics in the San Francisco Bay area, one clinic in New York, and a clinic in both Seattle and Bellevue, Washington.
